Padel Tournament Structure

Fast-paced, social, and easy to pick up, padel has quickly become one of the fastest-growing racket sports in the world. We're excited to introduce padel to our Paddles for Progress tournament.

Whether you're a seasoned player or stepping onto the court for your first competitive match, the padel tournament is designed to maximize play time, keep the energy high, and create plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow participants throughout the day.

Here's everything you need to know before game day.

Padel Americano Tournament Structure

Round Robin Format

• Two pools; teams will compete against several other teams within their group

• Teams alternate serves throughout the match

• Every team plays 3 to 4 games within their pod

• Every rally is worth one point

• Games played to a maximum 21 points

• Hard stop at 15 minutes

The goal is simple: earn as many points as possible throughout the round robin to improve your standing heading into the playoffs.

Playoffs

Once round robin play is complete, the top teams will advance to the playoff round. As the competition narrows, every point becomes increasingly important.

• Playoff matches follow the same format as a round-robin

• Every rally worth one point

• Alternating serves

• The final championship game is played to 25 points, with a 30-minute time limit

Championship Match

For the final, the format changes slightly. This extended format gives finalists more time to battle it out and crown an event champion.

• The top 2 teams will face off in the championship match

• The final championship game is played to 25 points, with a 30-minute time limit
