About the Role

As an event volunteer, you'll assist with various tasks to ensure a smooth and successful event, including setup, greeting attendees, answering questions, and potentially assisting with registration or crowd flow.

The Paddles for Progress event will be hosted at two separate locations: Fairgrounds Racket Club (Cloverdale Location), and The Porch (Toronto Location). In your application please specify your availability.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup: Assist with setting up tables, chairs, decorations, and other event materials as directed.

  • Greeting Attendees: Welcome attendees and provide a friendly and helpful first impression.

  • Information and Assistance: Answer questions from attendees about the event, schedule, and location.

  • Registration/Check-in: Assist with registration and check-in processes as needed.

  • Crowd Flow: Help direct attendees to the correct areas and ensure smooth traffic flow.

  • Event Support: Provide general support as needed throughout the event, such as assisting with tasks or running errands.

  • Teardown: Assist with the breakdown of event materials and equipment at the end of the event.

  • Other Duties as Assigned: Be flexible and willing to assist with other tasks as directed by the event coordinator or supervisor. 


Skills and Qualities:

  • Reliability: Arrive on time and be able to complete assigned tasks. 

  • Communication Skills: Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with attendees and event staff. 

  • Teamwork: Be able to work effectively as part of a team. 

  • Flexibility: Be willing to adapt to changing situations and take on different tasks as needed. 

  • Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive and helpful attitude throughout the event.
